Redress partners with VOGUE China to launch sustainable fashion video series
With fashion's environmental and carbon footprint reaching shocking levels, inspiring fashion consumers to be more responsible about their fashion choices is at the heart of our mission — globally but especially in China, one of the world’s largest fashion consumer and production markets.
Our latest collaboration with Vogue China and Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book), a two-episode series about sustainable fashion for Chinese consumers, reached a combined audience of 150 million. Hosted by Bonnie Chen, Redress Ambassador, Environmentalist, Supermodel and Filmmaker, the series follows three breakthrough Chinese fashion designers — JE Cai, Louis Chen Shengtao, and Ruohan — through adventures in sustainable fashion.
In the first episode, the Vogue China Fashion Fund Finalists explore a vast discarded clothing recycling centre, redesigning dumped pieces to transform into innovative designs for a leading Chinese fashion influencer. Then our second episode follows the designers as they redesign once discarded clothes into upcycled wardrobes for influential fashion figures. In these creative spaces, we take audiences into meaningful discussions about the transformative power of fashion, highlighting the importance of buying less, choosing better, and giving garments multiple lives. With 80% of a product’s environmental impact determined at the design stage, these conversations are vital for promoting sustainable fashion practices.
We created these videos with our long-term video content co-creators, Moonlight Entertainment, together with co-directors Bonnie Chen and Jeremiah Neri. Special thanks also goes to our partners, Peter Cheung, Lindsay Robertson, and The Bicester Collection.
We’re excited to see how these influencers and designers exemplify the values we stand for at Redress. We hope their creativity inspires you to build your own sustainable wardrobe!
