RISING TALENTS
The Rising Talents programme is designed for designers who have not been selected as Semi-finalists of the Redress Design Award but show great potential to grow into sustainable designers.
Each year, a selection of designers will be selected by the Redress experts based on their competition application. Redress will offer a sustainability enrichment experience, extending the designers’ knowledge in circular fashion through mentorships and various activities. Upon completion of the programme, the Rising Talents will become Redress Design Award Alumni.
If you are selected to participate in the Rising Talents programme, you will be contacted directly by the Redress team at the same time as the Semi-finalists announcement. You will be offered an exclusive, non-transferable opportunity to take part in the programme, including several mentorship sessions and activities between May and September. The exact schedule details will be shared with you at a later date, and will take into account your availability.
After completing this programme, the Rising Talents will still be eligible to re-apply to future cycles of the Redress Design Award competition, pending other competition eligibility criteria.
“My favourite part of this amazing programme was the opportunity to collaborate and get honest and direct feedback from people in the industry,” shares Giovanni Zocchetta, 2022 Rising Talent.
One of his mentors was Danielle Keller Aviram, Founder of Sustainable Jewelry Heroes. She adds, “Giovanni’s collection concept improved drastically and so did a lot of the technical aspects of the materials and techniques used to create the collection. I believe he has a great future in the creative industries.”
