Our Redress Alumni are driving fashion sustainability in myriad ways.  See what they’ve been working on lately!

Kévin Germanier designing Paris Olympics 2024 closing ceremony costumes

Kévin Germanier is designing all the costumes for the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024 to be held 11 August. The ceremony at the Stade de France will feature over a hundred performers, acrobats, dancers, and circus artists, with part of the show to take place in the air. Masterminded by artistic director Thomas Jolly, the costumes and lighting effects will take spectators on a journey through time, from past to future.

In addition, Kévin was featured as a judge in episode 12 of Germany’s Next Top Model with Heidi Klum, where models wore his signature shiny, beaded upcycled looks.

Karen Jessen showcasing at Bode Museum for Berlin Fashion Week

Karen Jessen is exhibiting her latest sustainable designs at the Bode Museum for Berlin Fashion Week SS25, including the long lace black dress pictured here. An early pioneer of upcycling since establishing her label in 2012, Karen’s work focuses on the development of reused materials for artistic creations.

Mandy Fong wears sustainable fashion throughout her Miss Hong Kong journey

Mandy Fong made it as a top 25 contestant in the Miss Hong Kong 2024 beauty pageant. Throughout her participation, she wore her own designs from her sustainable label SZMAN and shared about her experience in fashion, including winning Hong Kong Best in the Redress Design Award 2023. The world definitely needs more role models like Mandy advocating for sustainable fashion!

Classics Anew pop-up at Murray House

Classics Anew, a sustainable brand by Janko Lam offering Chinese traditional clothing with contemporary elements, is having a pop-up sale on the 2/F of the historic Murray House in Stanley Plaza, Hong Kong, from now until the end of August. Items will be available for as low as 50% off, with the shop open from 11am–8pm.
