Redress Design Award Alumni, Kevin Germanier, has been stealing the spotlight on red carpets all over the world. Recently dressing stars such as Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Kirsten Stewart, and K-Pop star, Sunmi, Kevin’s flair for bringing glamour to up-cycling is bringing sustainable fashion to the forefront of the glitzy celebrity scene.
Redress Design Award 2019 Alumni prize winner, Julia Talita Pagenkopf, impressed judges Sara Maino, Editor of Vogue Talents and Vogue Italia, Jamal Abdourahman, Founder and Producer of Vancouver Fashion Week, Carly Vidal, Talent Scout of Not Just a Label, and Peter Larko, Director of Marketing and PR of Mercedes Benz, winning the opportunity to showcase her sustainable collection, using reconstruction design techniques, merging secondhand garments made from low-impact materials, at this October’s FW2020 Vancouver Fashion Week. This prize was powered by Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong.
Redress Design Award Alumni and 2011 Finalist, Eric Wong, collaborated with Nectar, recently opened by Hong Kong’s beloved green chef, Peggy Chan, and created sustainable and stylish uniforms from up-cycled stock fabric for its staff. Known for his brand, Absurd Laboratory, Wong’s partnership with Nectar is truly one of a kind.
