Amber Valletta, model, actress, entrepreneur and activist, founded Master & Muse, the premiere lifestyle brand for responsibly made, cutting-edge fashion. Valletta is committed to advancing environmental awareness and smarter consumption within an industry she understands from many different vantage points. She is a fashion icon who has been the face of the most prestigious names in the fashion world and graced countless magazine covers over the course of her modelling career. After moving to Los Angeles, Amber found success as an actress, and has transitioned seamlessly between modelling and acting over the last 25 years. Her screen credits include 'Hitch', 'What Lies Beneath', 'Transporter 2' and 'The Spy Next Door', along with television roles on ABC’s hit show, 'Revenge', and 'Blood & Oil'.

Valletta is featured in and produced Driving Fashion Forward, a series of short documentaries on fashion and sustainability for Lexus’s online platform L-Studio. She serves as a mentor for the Council of Fashion Designers of America's Sustainability Committee.  She is on the advisory board for Fashion +,  Cradle-to-Cradle’s Initiative in fashion. She is a juror for the 2015 and 2016 H&M Global Change Award and Special Adviser to Copenhagen Fashion Summit & Global Fashion Agenda. Amber is a valued influencer that devotes her time and energy to encourage a wide range of companies, designers and consumers to adopt responsible practices and habits, without any compromise to style.

I am excited to be an Ambassador for Redress’s EcoChic Design Award 2017! After being in fashion for over 25 years, I’ve seen the business grow to be a one of the largest global industries in the world. No one can keep up with the pace and the huge growth has put enormous pressure all along the supply chain. From natural resources to garment workers to the designers to the consumers - everyone and everything is under stress. EcoChic Design Award provides a path for meaningful change to occur along all stages of the design process - real life solutions that can make a difference and shift the industry. I look forward to seeing all the innovative and creative ideas that the designers present this year!
