2013

2013 Overview

Our fourth competition cycle expanded to include eight Asian and European regions and was the first international mainstream sustainable fashion design competition. We were proud to have received strong support from fashion designers, academic institutions, private sector and the media. We held eight media briefings, 23 lectures, one seminar, one workshop and a touring international exhibition. The Grand Final fashion show of eight emerging fashion designers’ sustainable collections rocked and shocked our 400-packed Hong Kong Fashion Week industry audience. The prizes were to design a sustainable collection for Esprit; to visit John Hardy’s sustainable production facilities in Bali; and to design a reconstructed outfit for artist Sandy Lam.
